How do I determine if a territory is good?

We have conducted extensive research on our past customers as well as gathered information from Experian based on zip codes. We know our customers and where they might be. Of course you will also do your own research locally. Due diligence will allow for the best possible decision.

What type of training can I expect?

Training is very important to us as a franchisor. We provide comprehensive initial franchise training as well as in the field training. Our Field Support and Development (FSD) team is here for you.

What is the initial franchise fee?

The Franchise Fee is charged per household in the territory that is picked. Your initial fee can be as low as $35,000 and a maximum of $75,000.

What sources are there for funding?

There are many sources for funding a new franchise. We are SBA registered, making it easier for you to get an SBA loan.

How do I find out if I qualify to be a franchise owner?

At a certain point in the process you will be asked to fill out a Franchise Application. After this application is completed and due diligence has been done on both sides, approval will be granted.

How many employees will I need?

In the beginning you can start off with 1 showroom attendant, 1 salesperson and 1 installer. As you grow, you can add more staff.

What are the hours of operation?

Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm.

What does a typical TREND Transformations customer look like?

We have conducted extensive research in order to understand who our core customer is. Typically it is someone who fits these characteristics:

Does the product and service only have appeal in affluent areas?

No. While our product and service is considered high end, we offer savings to our customers in many ways. We are often times a solution that no one else can offer because of our unique selling proposition.

Is it possible to run this business without getting involved in the manufacturing process?

Absolutely. We have created processes in Centralized Fabrication that allow for a franchise to operate as a sales and installation company. By taking away the back-end of the business, you can concentrate on the other facets of the business.

How long does a new franchise owner take to get up and running?

The process varies but you could be up and running in as little as 60-90 days.

What is the gross profit margin of this business?

The short answer is: it’s up to you. It depends on how much time and effort a franchise owner is willing to expend. At the appropriate time in the process, we allow qualified candidates to communicate with TREND Transformations franchisees that can discuss and relate their experiences.

What is the net profit margin of this business?

Just as different students achieve different grades, each franchise owner achieves different net profit margins. How efficiently you run your business is up to you. You will have the opportunity to discuss this with other franchise owners in our system.

Where would you situate a dedicated showroom?

Our showrooms are transformative and beautiful. Not only a place to show our products and services but also a place to create. They will be destinations for customers, designers and architects and should be in a retail area.

If the majority of people visiting a showroom are there because they planned to visit, how did they hear about TREND Transformations in the first place?

Brand recognition and experience speak for themselves. People will search out your products and services. We will work with you in creating a marketing plan with the goal of getting new customers. It is also common to have special events and shows.

Who are TREND Transformations direct competitors?

Of course, you will compete against all the other suppliers of home improvement products and services, but because of the unique and proprietary nature of our products and franchise, we feel strongly that these competitors and their products do not measure up to ours in terms of beauty, convenience and durability. Our unique selling propositions make us a company and service that stands on its own – a unique product with no mess and a quick install.

What is the initial investment?

This varies depending on the model that you choose. Your initial investment can be as low as $102,000, which includes the original Franchise Fee and three months of operating capital.

What is the average revenue for a franchise?

The average revenue of a Franchise in our system is $1.5 million. See our Item 19 in the FDD for details.

What is the amount of royalty to be paid?

The Royalty Fee is 2% of gross sales, and there is also a National Advertising Fund contribution of 1.5% of gross sales.

Will I have an exclusive territory?

Yes, you will purchase a building block that consists of contiguous zip codes. You will own this territory exclusively.

Do I need construction experience?

Not necessarily. A lot of our owners come from a completely different industry. There are many different facets to our business and you may find the installation portion of the business to be rewarding. Some find the sales portion most rewarding. At the end of the day, you choose where to spend your time and focus your talent.

Will I have a showroom?

Yes, you will have a state-of-the-art showroom designed by our artistic department. Our team will assist you with finding the location and setup.
